Andrés García the director wanted the audience to live inside a 1950s lie before having it broken open. We built the film around two visual languages: pristine digital captured on the Red V-Raptor through Bausch & Lomb Baltar lenses for the propaganda surface, then Super 8 grain for the violence beneath. The Baltars carry the actual optical signature of the era we were imitating; the Super 8 is the moment that signature falls apart.
